1. create a file called convert.sh 2. edit the file as : #!/bin/sh ext=$1 for file in *.$ext; do while pidof /usr/bin/ffmpeg; do sleep 10; done >/dev/null ffmpeg -i "$file" -y -target pal-dvd -sameq -aspect 16:9 "${file}.mpeg" done 3. chmod the file chmod 777 convert.sh 4. run the script inside the movie file directories example: ./convert.sh avi 07.12.13
