Why runs windows so fast with bhyve on freeBSD?
26.06.26
Because bhyve uses hardware virtualization (Intel VT-x / AMD-V) — it's not emulating a CPU, it's passing instructions directly to the real CPU. Combined with virtio paravirtualized drivers (once installed inside Windows), disk and network I/O run at near-native speed. It's comparable to KVM on Linux.
