Yet resonance is what all our endeavors are really about: the desire to be heard and to be able to respond in turn. The adventure of "descending into chaos and feeling comfortable there" (Ludwig Wittgenstein) – in the knowledge that life cannot be controlled and that the world is more than a chain of technical means-end relationships that we simply have to set up as efficiently as possible in order to create an earthly paradise. We need a different relationship to the world.

Doch Resonanz ist das, worum es doch eigentlich all unserem Bestreben geht: um den
Wunsch, gehört zu werden und wiederum antworten zu können. Um das Abenteuer, »ins
Chaos hinab[zu] steigen und sich dort wohl[zu]fühlen« (Ludwig Wittgenstein) – in dem
Wissen, dass sich das Leben nicht kontrollieren lässt und die Welt mehr ist als eine
Kette von technischen Zweck-Mittel-Relationen, die wir nur so effizient wie möglich
einzurichten haben, um ein irdisches Paradies zu schaffen. Wir brauchen ein anderes
Weltverhältnis.
